Word is that jailbroken iphones are being infected with a worm that aims to steal bank account information. This worm changes the SSH (Secured Shell) password, connects to the creator via Wi-Fi and shares banking details from the device.
The new worm is said to strike only the jailbroken iPhone OS devices, leaving the rest safe. Worm configures itself to boot on the device startup and then connects it to a server via HTTP to upload the stolen data. The worm is said to change the device’s default password and also assigns a unique ID for further investigation by the attacker. Mostly, users on large range of ISPs from Netherlands, Australia and other countries where T-Mobile serves are said to have been infected.
