Our prayers and thoughts go out to the families and friends of the three Tesla Motors employees killed in the tragic plane crash Wednesday morning.

A twin-engine Cessna plane crashed into a East Palo Alto, California (just south of Oakland) neighborhood shortly before 8:00am just after taking off in heavy fog reportedly killing the pilot and 2 passengers on board. The Cessna 310R is reportedly registered to a former Santa Clara company that was started by Doug Bourn, a Tesla engineer. All three fatalities are reported to be Tesla Motors Employees. No injuries from the ground were reported.
