I got my hands on the little Orbitix Sphero for a few minutes and if you like remote control toys and have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch this is a really cool toy for the home, office or just about anywhere. Using the iPhone to control the Sphero is quite easy. Basically, using a finger or thumb to control the interface on the Apple device is all there is to it and off it goes via Bluetooth. There is a boost button also to give a burst of speed when needed.
The Sphero is still in the development stage now, but will be available later this year for less than $100. Orbitix says they will open up the API to developers for games and whatnot.
