As the International CES kicks off for 2013 many, many product launches are ensuing. Vizio is jumping into the Windows 8 tablet waters, which, is sure to be a hot trend this year.
Vizio’s tablet, a 11.6-inch slate packing a 1080 display, is possibly the first powered by AMD. Vizio is packing in the dual-core AMD Z60 “Hondo” while the Intel Atom Clover Trail CPUs are prevalent in other Windows 8 slates.
The Vizio tablet has pretty standard specs otherwise, including 2GB of RAM, 64GB of solid-state storage, 2-megapixel front camera and micro-HDMI and micro-USB ports. Vizio hasn’t announced pricing or availability, but hopefully we’ll see some demos at CES.
