JBL has released there redesigned Studio 1 Series loudspeaker, with quite a bold and attractive style in my opinion, but I have been a long-time fan of JBL. When I say redesign, I am referring to the exterior. JBL doesn’t mention any new cutting edge internals, but there still gonna sound great since proven components are being stuffed in. My eighteen year old LXE series speakers still sound great.
The newest JBL loudspeaker collection includes the JBL Studio 190 and Studio 180 floorstanding loudspeakers, the Studio 130 bookshelf loudspeaker, the JBL Studio 120c center-channel loudspeaker and the JBL Studio 150P subwoofer. [click to continue…]

Samsung unveiled their new line of LED TVs at CES 2011. In all there are more than 40 new televisions ranging from 19 inches to 65 inches and Samsung preview a monster 75 inch LED TV. The new lineup brings of course HD and not only 2D, but several are 3D capable and from what I was earlier on Wednesday, I have to say that I am impressed. Something I can’t say about some of Samsung’s earlier sets.
Streaming content is on the rise and in fact will be among the biggest trends this year and Samsung is on the bandwagon. Many of the new TV’s are web connected with integrated apps.
The first thing that jumped at me was the ultra-thin bezel. Samsung says they were able to make a 80% reduction in the bezel mass to make the edging nearly invisible.

Easier streaming will be coming our way soon with Netflix One-Click remotes. Netflix dropped word that future remotes from most of the major brands will get a Netflix button for TVs, Blu-ray players and other devices that have built-in Netflix streaming capabilities.

Pioneer has announced the availability of its first 3D Blu-ray players, which include the based model BDP-430 and two Elite models, the BDP-41FD and BDP-43FD. All models feature HDMI 1.4a outputs, 36-bit Deep Color support, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. They also feature compatibility with Pioneer’s free iControlAV App, which turns the iPhone and iPod touch into a fully functioning remote control.
The BDP-430 is priced at $299, while the BDP-41FD and BDP-43FD are priced at $399 and $499, respectively.
