News Flash! Skype for iPad is now in the App Store, and it’s free. iPad users had to settle for the iphone/ipod version, which did not make good use of the larger iPad screen, and one could not instant message during a video call. Of course, you will not be able to send video with the 1st generation iPad, due to the lack of front facing camera. You can see the party that is calling you though. But you knew that already.
Elgato has just dropped version 1.1 of it EyeTV app and now offers live TV streaming over Wi-Fi or 3G connections for the iPad (I hope you got that unlimited plan before it went away). The new version of EyeTV app also has a higher resolution to support the iPad screen. EyeTV version 1.1 is $4.99 in the App Store and a free update for existing owners.

Amazon has dropped the word on the Kindle development kit today, which has been a pretty hot topic over the past several days. This move was inevitable, given the success of the iPhone App Store.
With Apple’s apps on the front edge of the development, the big surprises that we saw in iPhone apps probably won’t be catching us as far off guard as before. Will the iFart see another incarnation on the Kindle?
Developers get 70% of the net revenue (after delivery fees of $0.15/MB) from Kindle app sales, and 3 pricing options are in place: free, one-time purchase, monthly subscription.

Ghosts Attack, first person shooter game from Tarver Games, LLC integrates mobile mapping technology with a dynamic alternate reality gaming (ARG) experience. Purportedly, players can navigate the standard Maps interface to play anywhere in the world and with new episodes coming periodically players will have new content and storyline.
