<p>There&#8217;s a lot of stuff on Facebook that I simply don&#8217;t understand.  However, one thing that I certainly know is that the new News Feed / Live Feed stinks.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve seen tons of people post examples of how to get the &#8220;old Facebook&#8221; feed back.  The short of it is to move &#8220;Status Updates&#8221; to the default feed on your Facebook home page.</p>
<p>But, <em>it&#8217;s <strong>not </strong>really the same. </em></p>
<p>You don&#8217;t get links, videos and picture updates.  I know some now tell people in their status that there is new content (like links, video and pics) on their wall because so many people have moved to the &#8220;Status Updates&#8221; as default.</p>
<p>If you want to get Status Updates, News Feed, Pics, Links, etc. in your default feed, here&#8217;s how.<span id="more-67"></span></p>
<p><strong>1. On your Facebook &#8220;Home&#8221; page click the &#8220;more&#8221; link on your left sidebar.</strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-70" title="Facebook More Link" src="http://www.techtilt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Facebook-More-Link-copy.jpg" alt="Facebook More Link" width="605" height="256" /></p>
<p><strong>2. At the bottom of the sidebar, click on &#8220;Create New List.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-68" title="Facebook Create New List" src="http://www.techtilt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Facebook-Create-New-List-copy.jpg" alt="Facebook Create New List" width="601" height="503" /></p>
<p><strong>3. Name the list &#8220;Everything&#8221; and select each of your contacts. </strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-71" title="Facebook New List Box" src="http://www.techtilt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Facebook-New-List-Box.JPG" alt="Facebook New List Box" width="493" height="465" /></p>
<p>(If you have a lot of friends this could take a couple of minutes; however, you only have to do it <span style="text-decoration: underline;">once</span>.)</p>
<p><strong>4. Once you create your &#8220;Everything&#8221; feed, grab the three little striped bars to the right of the word &#8220;Everything&#8221; and drag it up to the top above &#8220;News Feed&#8221; or &#8220;Status Updates&#8221; (whatever is at the top of your sidebar).</strong></p>
<p><strong><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-69" title="Facebook Everything Feed" src="http://www.techtilt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Facebook-Everything-Feed.JPG" alt="Facebook Everything Feed" width="603" height="104" /><br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong>5. Boom.  That&#8217;s it.  You&#8217;re done. </strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-72" title="Everything from Facebook Friends" src="http://www.techtilt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Everything-from-Facebook-Friends-630x764.jpg" alt="Everything from Facebook Friends" width="630" height="764" /></p>
<p>Now, everything is in your default news feed.  You&#8217;ll get updates on everything your friends are doing and won&#8217;t miss out on their silly pics, links and videos.</p>
<h3>Future Friends</h3>
<p>Unfortunately, your new friends won&#8217;t be automatically added to this &#8220;Everything&#8221; feed when you add them as friends.  To get them into your &#8220;Everything&#8221; feed, just click on the little pencil icon next to the word &#8220;Everything&#8221; and select the new friend (everyone else should already be selected).  Save the feed and all your friends, including new ones, should be good to go.</p>
